Our school mission is to enable students to become confident, self-directed and lifelong learners.

Washington County High School has been on its present site since 1969. Until 1998, WCHS housed students in grades nine through twelve. At that time, grades five through eight were added to the school due to a consolidation mandated by the Washington County Board of Education. (Actually, the elementary school "swapped" sites with the middle school, moving grades five through eight into closer proximity with the high school.) The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools has accredited the school since 1988.
